We have received literally hundreds of thousands of pounds in support for Alex’s medical and other needs and to enrich his life as he battles cancer. Literally, dozens and dozens of fundraising events have taken place thanks to the kindness and generosity of the good people of the world. We have also had four major fundraisers on Just Giving at different times throughout this journey. We also received very generous donations from celebrities bit also major financial support from one main benefactor
Without this money, Alex would not be where he is today and we are truly thankful for all the support we have received
This income and how it has been spent has been recorded for transparency: mainly because Alexander’s father is a U.K. Police Officer and we wanted to ensure that there was no question of the appropriateness of its use. Mr. David Kaye of Grayson Willis Bennett Solicitors gave up his free time to help us to facilitate the process and now M. P Beahan & Co. Chartered Accountants will audit the accounts relating to Alex’s fundraising and a statement will be produced by them at the end of March 2019. We are grateful to them both for their work – given freely
We continue to fundraise for the reasons outlined in the updates of Alex’s medical situation.
Maruska, Alexander’s Mum, and his Dad’s friend and work colleague Craig are running the LONDON MARATHON in 2019 to raise funds for the Bone Cancer Research Trust.
